Friday, 22 December 2006

Every year, as we enter the month of December, we will be flooded with pages and pages of Xmas advertisements and sales promotions at shopping malls. We used to send cards wishing each other greetings and blessings until the usefulness and conveniences of SMS and then MMS and now 3G java apps began to replace the good ol' Xmas cards.

we sees the malls and streets decorated in bright shiny lights and even good old MALAYsia kampung changes to a white tinseltown akin white Xmas in the USA.

Over the years, we have seen MALAYsia transformed into a christmas paradise in December and if you had the chance to visit the "Sweet Xmas" in Mid Valley, you will forget for a moment that you are actually in Kuala Lumpur!! It is indeed a sight to behold!

However, amidst all the excitement of Xmas gifts, shoppings, decorations and (yes) camp preparations, I still find time to irk at how we Xians celebrate X'mas.

It's a joy to see so many people celebrate X'mas, but wouldn't it be more joy and happiness if we see more people celebrating and enjoying CHRISTMAS?

So have yourselves a merry little CHRISTMAS and a blessed New year to all.

God bless...

mikey

ps... see you all at camp!

Find out who's going to be The CHAMPION for the Great Bible Challenge this Sunday, 5th November 2006.

The final grand round will be done ala "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" concept and it pits the skills of of our two most consistent contestants against each other in the fight to become the first Champion of "THE GREAT BIBLE CHALLENGE".

The honor of having his/her name inscribe on the Challenge Shield will be in the hands of CTLin and Ian CMK.

It is seen as the Battle of the Great Bible Minds...

OR will it run out to be the Battle of the Sexes?
Will CMK be able to preserve the honor for the guys ?
OR will CTL win one over the guys?
Who will enjoy bragging rights?
Who will have their name inscribe forever in the history books?
And more importantly, Who will belanja us all minum and makan?

Wednesday, 1 November 2006

It's November 2006!!

10 months have zipped pass and we are in the final two months of 2006. What have you done? What have you achieved? Have achieved any of your goals or objectives that you set for 2006? Well, if you haven't, you only have two more months to go and try and do something about it...

What about Yw@p in BSGC? What have we done? Are you happy with what's happening with yw@p in 2006? Well, we have had a very eventful year in 2006 and we should all give ourselves a pat on the back for the wonderful time we had this year! We did well at COPA IBA and even brought back a trophy to sow for our efforts! And after months of preparation for The QUIZ, we finished third, another improvement from the previous year. What about the Battle of the Bands... aint that fun!!

Well, if the efforts were to show anything, it showed that you guys in yw@p has matured and has learned from our past experiences. So Kudos to all of you for making yw@p 2006 a successful and enjoyable edition.

After this 2 months break in September and October, to enable you guys to recover at home to study and prepare for your year-end exams (well, we got to please the parents too you know)... but anyway, after our "summer" break, it's time to go back to work! hahaha...

Yw@p Saturday will be recommencing our activities on November 11, AND unlike previously, we will not be taking any breaks in Nov and Dec but in fact it's gonna be one exciting and fun 2 months... BUT it all boils down to you guys (I hope the Fifth Formers can forgive me for starting the programs without you guys.. but I AM leaving the best for the last... esp for you all fifth formers...so don't fret)

So let's get those spider webs cleaned up, recharge those energy and let's party on with Christ as we rock towards the Son's Birthday!

While, for some of you it's virtually HOLIDAY time, let's be patient and wait for our friends fromSMSU to finish their exams, and we'll kickstart our 2006-2007 yw@p edition with some real cool stuffs... Note: What may seemed cool to me may not be seen as cool to you...so forgive me! HAHAHA

Here are some things to look forward to in the next two months.... Now, we still have 2 more months to go for 2006, and here is when the main crunch for the year is gonna happen... it's going to be a mad rush to the year-end with VBS, Christmas, Concerts AND THE Youth Camp in Pangkor!!! and all this is happening in the small space of 2 months...

What else??? we gonna have some real cool dudes back with us in the year-end and we hope that we all can rock together towards Christmas and enjoy some catch-up time!! So make sure, you come back to this site often enough... you WILL find some really exciting news coming up your way... Have fun always....

mikey.

a prayer point

hey, guyz... just wanted to share with you a prayer point which i think is important since the Youth Camp is approaching. that's right... Please pray for the Youth Camp that it will be a BLAST and that many people will come and enjoy it yet learn about God more too. Do remember prayer is very important. Prayer can move mountains. I quote Phillipians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." So pray about youth camp, about yourselves, about your exams, and about anything and everything. For prayer is powerful and can change lives. See ya

to eunice

Eunice, we will never forget you
we will miss your pretty face smiling here and there
whether you be clean or not

you are still the light of our lives
bringing laughter and joy

and although you are quite scary at times...
when you are holding a knife... and laughing...

WE STILL LOVE YOU!!
