COPA IBA

Harlow!! Harlow!! :)

One of our YWAP annual event is coming up... It's the annual COPA IBA!! It's on the 14th of July 2007, a Saturday.

I dunno about you folks out there....but to me COPA IBA is one thing that I wouldn't miss it for the world :) It's been an annual event that YWAP has been joining since years ago...from the pictures that we have collected over the years, you can definitely see the changes we have gone through...physically I mean. Hehe! From skinny boys+tiny looking gals to big fat boys+strong muscular gals. o.0 Hahaha!

Don't believe me? Take a look at this -

We used to have this....but now,

We have this! :)

See...we grew bigger physically and we also grew in numbers! BSGC YWAP used to only send in 1, satu, one Captains Ball team every year before this. But this year, we have 2, dua, two teams! XD One team of the Under-15 Junior team and one Under-23 Senior team.

Before, the gurls were always "bullied" in the field...but as the years pass, the gurls are now stronger and fitter to play. Say "byebye!" to butter fingers! *wheee!* :) The guys although have gain in weight...they have also gain in strength and experience to play well in the field.

As a result of all these years of learning and growing and of getting "bullied"...we got this last year! A trophy! And a beeeaaautiful score board of this -

Sunway rocks wey!! XD

This trophy came in as a VERY BIG surprise!
...and a VERY BIG BIG BIG encouragement to me. :)

COPA IBA has always been one of the events that I personally look forward to each year. It's not just about winning...to BSGC, it has never really been about winning, but yet each year without fail, we would definitely sign up for COPA IBA. No questions asked.

Most of us in the Senior team this year have been joining COPA IBA for years...it has always been a part of the happy+memorable memories that we have each year. We enjoyed being baked in the sun, enjoy sweating it out and playing the best we can in the field even knowing we might not win. We have always kept that spirit high! We always always played our very best. Even when we were lacking in numbers, we would go all the way out to find players and friends who would play with us and help us. That was the UNITY + SPIRIT that we had each year.

I kid you not. Compare the sizes of the gals in the white team and those in the blue (BSGC).

We still play our hearts out and always thriving to score! :)

We're grateful that this year, we have more in numbers that we can even split into 2 teams. This is the first year BSGC sends out 2 teams for COPA IBA! It's making history...literally :) We have many new players with us this year...and as far as the practices have gone, we are definitely in a good chance of winning ourselves hampers/ another trophy perhaps XD

To all the new friends/ players, especially to the Junior team...we welcome you to join us in sharing the happy memories with us this year and many more years to come! The older ones are getting too old and too fat to run...very soon in years to come, it'll be up to you youngsters to keep BSGC YWAP's spirit high! :) Plus, you Juniors have a VERY good chance of winning this year...I kid you not. Nothing is impossible! :)

To all Senior teammates, we're grateful for the new players that have come to join us this year. But would also like to encourage the old players to continuing keeping the spirit that we always had up+high! We do still need you even though we may have new players....we need the experience that each of you has gained over the pass years. We also need your physical+moral support and the spirit that you held on for years! And definitely need you to pass the spirit and set an example to the juniors who will take our place when we're too old in the future.

Think of all the good memories, the laughter, the sunburnt skin and the food! we all had each year after COPA IBA. It wouldn't have been so great if anyone of you were missing :) It would be ever so great if all of the old "masters" could be there once again this year. So whatever plans you have planned out, or things that you thought you would wanna do on the 14th July, scrap it off and come with us!

See the big grins and happy smiles we have on our faces?!
This is what I mean... :) Us sharing the moments!

So COME! "Old masters" and dear new friends!
We need your support...need your presence to seize the day!!

Everyone of you...honestly, you make a difference! :)

PS: Practices @ Extreme Park on Saturdays 4pm and Sundays 3pm. See y'all there! *winks*

Introducing Corrinne May

Hello dear kawans :)

Just wanted to introduce you guys this Singaporean Christian singer - Corrinne May.
A friend here in Cardiff introduced me to her songs. And I found her songs rather different, in a good way...with very meaningful lyrics. :) She reminds me of our very own Juwita Suwito.

So I've put up 2 of her songs at the Worship Section, which I think are nice and rather meaningful :) -
  • Safe In A Crazy World
  • All That I Need
Hope you peeps like it! *winks*

Cheers,
You all know who I am :) I'm the one&only very Nice one around. Haha!! :P
