Looking back at Year 2008.....

The year 2008 is nearly coming to and end. God has blessed us with many little and big things in our lives which sometimes we tend to take for granted and not thanking the Lord for what He has done for us. Instead, we grumble at times why God did not give us what we want and things that we desire so much.

Our God is a great and Almighty God. In His time, God provides and gives according to His will. Our job is said in Matt 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." but the Lord has his own timing and gives us what we need at a certain time, shaping us to be more like Him day by day, granting us patience, giving us a hope for tomorrow like said in Jer 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ". The birds in the air lived day by day, who is the one who feed them? Solomon in his splendor does not even look as pretty as the lilies on the water, who created the lilies? Aren't us humans, God's perfect creation, even MORE important than the birds in the air and lilies on the waters? So why worry when God is there to provide?

The Lord has greatly provided and blessed our church and youth throughout this year. We had many activities and fun which are not uploaded to the blog. Sorry for not spending time to upload updates to the blog. So for year 2009's resolution, the admins of the blogs made a promise to update the blog constantly. This are some previews of the activities of year 2008.

IBA Unplugged 2008

This year's EMF has been changed to IBA Unplugged because it has been officially taken over by IBA. Our church has sent a team to perform in this challenge between brethren churches around Malaysia. There is even a church that came all the way from Johor! Even though our team did not win anything this year, but fellowship was built, friendships made and that's all that matters. Praise God for making this event a success! These are some photos of IBA Unplugged 2008:

On 11th October, we had a welcome session for the standard 6 who will be join us in youth next year during 2009.

Youth camp 2008!!

Hey Hey Hey!

How was youth camp ppl!? Wasn't it just so amazing and wonderful??? Dun you miss it? Because I really do miss camp :(

It can only be held one year once, so those of you who missed out this year, make sure you dun miss out the next one! Or you'll reaaaaaaaaally regret!

This year, it was held in Jeram Besu, Pahang... A very outdoor-based campsite - Adventure! :)

IBA Unplugged @ 23 August 2008!!

Hey people,

IBA Unplugged is TOMORROW!! Bring your friends along to come and support our team!! The details are as below:-

• MEETING IN CHURCH @ 130PM - 2PM SHARP!
• VENUE @ SHAH ALAM GOSPLE CENTRE
• EVENT STARTING @ 3PM - 7PM!!

There will 7 bands competing all together. Our band members are Andrew Ng, Matthew La Brooy, Ian Chua, Esther Chu, Eliezer, Ezra, Daniel. Please pray for a good time hope we dun make any mistakes =P. So see you all there and remember to bring your friends!! God Bless!!

IBA Unplugged 2008! (aka EMF)

Hey all,

As some of you know, we were at 1st place at EMF last year. This year, we are going to be sending a team too!

IBA Unplugged 2008 is handled by IBA team and this year they are having it BIG!! There are a total of 8 teams including our team and all the teams are churches such as SSGC, SAGC, Daya from Johor, Antioch, TTDI, Ampang Gospel Centre, Port Klang Gospel Centre and more!

Morever, this event is not all about enjoying music and singing, it is also a time to share the word God to non-believers. So bring along your friends, christian or non-christian, bring them along to cheer for our team as well as to share the gospel! The details of the events are as such:

• Date : 23rd August 2008, Saturday

Tentatively the plans for transportation are not being sorted out but we'll be finalizing the logistics.
