Wake Up Call...

People, I think there’s a need for all of us to stop dreaming and think through it:

There’s a group of people, who are putting in a lot of effort in trying to get the Saturday youth program going.

Every week, when we planned to have our youth meetings, there’s always a topic given. The speaker has to prepare all the materials and break his/her head thinking of ways to make us understand the topic, ways to make sure it wouldn’t be boring.

Imagine this – You’ve put in so much effort preparing the materials, did all the slides so that it would be a little more interesting. Happily bringing your laptop, Q&A materials and everything else you needed to church at 4pm. Setting up your laptop, going through the slides again and again to make sure it’s in correct order.

But by 5pm, only 3 to 4 people turned up. Then by 6pm, it’s still that 3 to 4 people. You ended up packing your laptop, keeping all your materials without using them AT ALL.

How discouraging can that be?

It has been like that for the past few years. Do you still want to see this happening in our church, in our youth?

Where’s our commitment? Where’s your commitment?

Don’t take things for granted, it can be taken away from us anytime….
