CAR WASH

Hi Peeps,

We will be organising a fund raising project to raise some funds for our kitty -

To sponsor Youth Camp
To fund special Youth Programmes

The first initiative will be a car wash programme, which will be held on every Sunday to wash Church Adult member's cars. Please come and help wherever you can - but please get your parents' consent to take part in this activity (especially those having or preparing for exams).

It will be on every Sunday (13/8, 20/8 and 27/8). We will be washing, shampooing, drying and vacuming the cars. In order to help plan for sufficient equipment and resources, please get in touch with Ian Chua or Eunice Chu who are helping to coordinate this project.

If you are interested to help, we would like to invite you to join us for worship at 9am and we will start our car-wash after breakfast at 11.30am till 1.30pm. Please bring a change of clothes.

There will be more fund raising activities coming our way in the coming months ( I hope - we dont have much ideas yet) ... AND we welcome ideas, and help FROM all of you. Please drop your ideas in the comment box or shout it on the conversation box on the right.

We want to have fun while raising money to finance our programmes and projects in the coming months.

YOUTH MEETING TAKES A BREAK

HI peeps... The Youth meeting on Saturday takes a short break. However, the church will still be open from 4pm-6.40pm and if you feel like coming to hang out, play games or to study in church, you are welcome to do so... See you all in August.

HOWEVER - watch this space for announcements regarding SUNDAYs... Some of the ugly ones are planning some real cool activities in the coming Sundays... so stay tune to this space, or read your emails, or standby your phones.... stay connected!

COMBINED YOUTH BIBLE QUIZ 2006

IT IS OFFICIAL! BSGC Stormed from behind just 5 points behind Subang Jaya Gospel Centre (SJGC) and finished THIRD.

It was a vast improvement from last year's fourth position where we were fighting to avoid being last. This year, we see BSGC challenging to the very end and lost to Agape (the champion again)... but this time we narroed the gap to 42 points only. Both the TEAM and FLOOR Team had amazing team spirit as we fought tooth for tooth for every point!

This year, we also scored another win - we had the youngest CONTESTANT on the floor - our 11 year old IAN HO! We also came out tops in the "fun" adult category quiz.... Uncle Calvin Moy - who won for us SIX TINS of biscuits!!!

We celebrated the win at Uncle Chai's house with BBQ and pasta dinner!

And thanks to everyone who were there, making this year's COPA IBA a super duper memorable one..Getting the Fairplay Award its an encouragement to all of us, I suppose. It marks the beginning of BSGC's name in COPA IBA!! There's certainly more to come.. =)

Getting Fairplay Award is better than getting first (though we may be able to get both the next time!!) Coz it means that we played fair and well..Not playing dirty to win first place. So keep up the good work. =) Playing it up to "Friendship First"!!

BSGC Fan Club!

It was reported that there was a sole supporter of BSGC in Australia, during the recent COPA IBA . Now, that BSGC made history she is determined to start a BSGC fan club. She has been following the match closely and was delighted when BSGC got the fair play trophy!

YEAH!!

Hey peeps!!

To all that came for COPA IBA I wanna tq for your support and your full spirit in playing the games. I really wanna say well done to all YW@P-ians who went to play and to cheer!! getting the trophy is really a very unexpected thing.. actually I aso din heard of any such trophy.. haha.. but anyway it is everyone's fair play that we are awarded this trophy so congratulation everyone for getting the Fair Play Award trophy!! Let us try to qualify for semi-finals or finals next year!!

But the most important thing is, never of this could have happen without our team manager's help.. or rather our only uncle Michael's help.. if you guys do not know, uncle Michael was the one who came out with the strategies and helped to plan out the game properly and that's why we manage to qualify for the 2nd round.. I would like to thank uncle Michael here for helping out so much and giving us so much encouragement for COPA IBA!! Thank You Uncle Michael!!!

Now let us go for the coming IBA bible quiz!! let's do all our best to thank Uncle Michael for all the hard work he has put in!! go BSGC!
